Work At Home Complaints HBG Publications
COMPANIES LISTED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER
HBG Publications Diamond Bar, CA
I was completely scammed. After completing the work because I was lucky enough to get responses from my ad, I sent in the stuffed envelopes and was not reimbursed for my time or money. In fact, the company sent my package back with the HBG address scratched out and labeled: "Return to Sender." This was a travesty! I called the company one time and gave them an ultimatum before I start the litigation process. After that, I will be talking to my attorney. Anyone wanting to contact me and gather together to form a class action suit against this company, let me know.

I recently was tricked into going threw with this program of stuffing envolopes for cash which turned out to be a scam. I was fooled and I'm pissed. I hope they get caught and burn in hell.

HBG Publications I first heard about this awesome opportunity in the local newspaper, where you think everything is legit. It seemed like the opportunity of a life time $7.00 per stuffed envelope. Possible making $2,800 dollars a week. There letter that they sent in the mail seemed to make perfect sense. So of course I sent in my $40 dollars, for the startup kit. Plus that was going to be refunded anyway with another $50 dollars if I sent in my money within 7 days. I love the way that they use the word "guarantee" throughout the whole letter. I can't believe people can get away with things like this. I sent away for another brochure on the same day I sent away for the first one and its weird the same exact letter was sent under a different company name of course I did not get them on the same day I wish I would have then I would have maybe caught on to this scam before I lost $40 dollars. If anyone finds a real envelope stuffing company where you can make money please let me know I am 8 months pregnant and trying to be a stay at home Mom. meredithaa82@hotmail.com I would very much appreciate it. Thanks

HBG Publications Diamond Bar, Calif. After I sent the $40 in to them It took a week to hear back from them. The ad they put in the newspaper is a false. When I receive there information it was totally different the job listed.
They also state that you don't get a refund not unless you at least try what say. But you will have to spend out more money.
HBG Publications Diamond Bar, California 91789
I swear I thought it was a solid way to make money, but thank god I decided to look it up before I sent in my money order. I feel stupid for believing in the ad. My boyfriend had told me it was a scam but I didn't believe him but thank you for stating what they did to you it helped me not become another victim.
HBG Publications Diamond Bar, California 91789

HBG Publications
HBG Publications is not a scam but a trick. They tell you, that they will pay you seven dollars for every envelope you secure and stuff! They didn't lie, but they tell you that "secure" can also mean that you have to get the envelopes yourself - from your own customers.

I saw an ad in the paper that I thought would be perfect for me to make some money to help out my family, I was the soul provider of my household until I got hurt at work and now have to have the surgery, and have been told I will be out of work for 5 months. That will hurt financially. So I sent off for a home employment job, just to make ends meet, well I told a few friends who told me to check into it first on the Internet and with the BBB. I'm so lucky to have smart thinking friends. My advice whatever you want to get into that is new, PLEASE!!!! Check it out first, listen to your friends and act on it, because most of us who are interested in these businesses are desperate to keep paying our bill on time, and these SCAM ARTIST are very aware of this. Always be cautious!!!

HBG Publications Diamond Bar, Calif. 91789
To anyone wanting quick cash, don't trust HBG. I sent 40 dollars and never got a response. Someone please report HBG Publications to Better Business Bureau. Lisa Fisher was the contact name in letter.
HBG publications DON'T SEND THEM MONEY...THEY ARE A FRAUD..I send them $40 and I never heard from them again..what should u recommend me doing?
HBG PUBLICATIONS
They put an ad in the newspaper saying that they would give us $7.00 for every envelope that we stuff. We had to pay them $40 before we got anything and that we would get $700 for stuffing 100 envelopes.
HBG Publications Diamond Bar California
I should have listened to my sister when I told her about this work at home opportunity when she said to check into this scam. How stupid am I to believe there are trustworthy mail businesses out there. How can I get my $40.00 back?
HBG PUBLICATIONS Diamond Bar, CA
Their simple, pleasant work you can do at home, is no work at all! Send then their requested $40 and never hear or recieve anything from them again.
They say you will recieve 'gauranteed' the $40 you sent in plus a $700 check with your first 100 envelopes they mail to you.
Be aware: If they don't have a customer service number or any phone number at all for that matter don't deal with them.
HBG Publications
We sent in our $40.00 for our start up kit also and haven't heard from these people since. Should I put a tracer on my money order?
HBG Publications Yes, I agree this is a scam because I did the same thing too and never heard from them again. The opportunity seems sooo real, but when you really think about it, you cant help but to wonder why more people aren't employed at home if this is such an easy way to get money.
HBG Publications
My sister was a dummy who sent of $40 of money she did not really have. Boy did she feel stupid. Why did she feel stupid, because she waited until after she sent the money off to research the company? Luckily she informed the Post Office to stop the money order from being delivered. Learn from her mistake.

HBG Publications I found out it was a scam for this website and decided to do a little research on them for myself. I found out that HBG Publications doesn't exist in Diamond Bar, CA. It doesn't exist any where in southern call. Not even the zip code matches. The one they gave me was 91789 and that was to a city called Walnut. So I called 411 and asked for their # and they gave me (909) 869-0563. No one answers, all I hear is beeping noises. So I called the number that was written in the newspaper and left a message saying that if they didn't send me my money back then I would report this to the police and have them handle it either that or I'll go to the district attorney's office and see if they can give me some advice on what to do about this. I should have known it was a scam and did some research on it before I sent my money in. Now I feel totally stupid about not doing something so simple like that.
If you were scammed and knows how to get your money back from this company or any other company please email me at angelgurl_137@yahoo.com. I would really appreciate it. If I get my money back from them then I will post it on this website.

HBG Publications

HBG publications California 91789 This company is an envelope stuffing business. They said I could make over $1750 weekly guaranteed in writing, if I stuffed envelopes. I was asked me to send in $40 so i did for the registration in their home mailer program, well they lied and sent me the home business guide, didn't even order that. they said also that my $40 was refundable, but when i tried contacting them i could get no response. so not only did they rip me off but they will not even get in touch with me. i sent a letter to them, still no response. they said in that home business guide that if i sent the guide back to them they would give $30 back ... so i sent it, a week ago still nothing. They are ignoring me completely, and I have no employment. This is a scam.

HBG Publications

HBG Publications SCAM!!! If it sounds to good to be true ... it is too good to be true! $40 down the drain... Anyone know how I can get my money back?
***They also sold my address and contact info to other scammers!!!
HBG Publications
My husband also was attracted by the newspaper add! We decided to call and when we got the letter we where like no this has to be a scam! I am so glad that I decided to wait and research this company before I sent any money! I am gald people are posting messages so that others are not caught by these people!
HBG Publications Total scam. Said we would be stuffing envelopes and that was it. What they meant was finding them others to scam and then we would be paid for those we scammed to sign up. No thank you.

HGB Publication Envelope Stuffer Scam
I found the ad in the newspaper here in Columbus, Ohio, called up for the info and they sent it, after a family member pointed the ad out to me. I assumed it was a scam in the first place. Why? There is NO SUCH THING as an "envelope stuffer." All envelope stuffing work is done COMPLETELY mechanically.
It is quite ridiculous these people get away with this crap. I have heard this scam has been around for quite some time - possibly surfacing around the time of the great depression. Whatever happened to laws against false advertisement? It does make you wonder how much money they actually take from people; they must be making something if they keep writing those ads. I just don't quite understand why these people aren't taken down. Anyway's, don't fall for this scam and feed the scammers any more cash than they all ready have taken. There is no such company that exists solely to mail things out. No such company exists that uses random people to mail things out for them. As I said before, any company that uses mass mailing systems use a strictly mechanical procedure to do so, via equipment. If not, then the post office will performs that service for well under even $0.25 per envelope. Also, 9.99/10 employment opportunities that require someone to send some kind of start-up/registration/security deposit are not legitimate. The best piece of advice I've heard regarding scams is (you guessed it): if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. You can remove the word "probably" from the above statement once you !VERIFY! the company/person(S) you're doing any kind of business with, employment or otherwise.

HBG Publications
I read an ad in local newspaper. How to make 2800.00 stuffing envelopes...they took the 40.00 that was required to get started and we haven't heard from them again...big scam
HBG Publications
I GOT MY REFUND!!~ ok, so 2 weeks worth of harassing them, and they finally sent me my $40 refund. I sent letters to them about 2 times a week and called the above number (909) xxx-xxxx and left threatening messages saying if they didn't sent my refund I would be taking legal action to send the check immediately, and sure enough I had a check in my mail box this morning!! im so relieved, I hope it works for you all too!
HBG Publications
It's to late for me now. Yes, I'm another victim of this work from home job. I plan to track the money order to find out who actually cashed. IT IS NOT A REAL JOB.
HBG Publications
I sent them my $40 and I just decided to look them up and i feel so stupid that i didnt look them up before hand. I am a single mom who really thought I was going to make a decent living mailing from home. I really can't believe this is legal.

I too requested information on this so called "company." I began researching it on the Internet and the only information I found was a bunch of scam sights. so I did a bit of further investigations and yellowbook.com lists 20651 golden springs drive diamond bar, ca 91789 as Charlie's sandwich shopped. Someone has to be receiving the $40 checks everyone has been sending and if this is the return address. Who knows. Thanks to all of you who posted your complaints so that I too wouldn't be scammed.

HBG Publications Diamond Bar, California 91789
I was so excited at the thought of this incredible opportunity to earn $7 per envelope and thank God my intuition told me to check this out. The first thing that tipped me off was that they ask for cash, money order, or personal check! NO ONE sends cash through the mail; money orders are harder to trace and they said that they would hold personal checks for 3-weeks (during the three weeks would they scam more money out of you????) I am so glad to have found this link; thanks to all of you who have posted for people who are honestly trying to earn a buck!! Lateasha R., Minnesota
HBG Publications
This is such crap! I am also one of those single mothers just trying to get one step ahead and these type of people shoot you down and take more money from you. Some day the people of this company will get what is coming to them. Still no refund on my 40.00
HBG Publications
I wish we would have looked them up on here before we sent our $40. yep its a scam. I wonder if we call the bank where my check was deposited if they can give a address or phone number for the company. Theres got to be something we can do so more people don't fall for the ripoff.
HBG Publications
I was considering sending the $40 in to them because as a full time student, Iwas looking for an at-home job. This business seemed legit and I was getting ready to write a check when iIsuddnely decided to check them out to find out if they were real. I'm glad that i found this site because I can spend that $40 on something better than getting scammed by a company.

HBG Publications
Diamond Bar, Calif. 91789
Thank you for web sites that expose scams. I answered HBG's ad in our local paper. Received their letter promising $7.00 per letter stuffed and mailed. I was very excited as I am currently unable to physically hold a job which would require me to be on my feet for long periods of time. Therefore, this seemed like an honest and reputable company which would provide the income we so desperately need.
The letter I received ONLY talked of stuffing and mailing envelopes. I was going to send the money order later today so that I could get an extra $50. back for responding within 7 days.
BUT, I decided to try to search for any info on the company first, and boy am I glad I did. From what some have said, HBG either doesn't respond to you, OR they send you instructions to put ads in papers at your own expense and try to get $7.00 out of your responders. (Isn't this FRAUD?) Why aren't they put in prison for mail fraud? NO mention of newspaper ads in the first letter...?? I am very grateful for others who have shared their experience with this bogus company to warn others not to be fooled.
What can be done about scams like this?

I saw an ad in the news paper so I decided to act on it well boy oh boy was I wrong .I sent my $40.00 registration fee in thinking oh cool $40 and I can make $ 700.00 for 100 envelopes that I stuff well that was a bunch of crap. I received my start up package and all it was a letter stating that I needed to put an ad in the newspaper to get my own business started up. I am not going to spend more money by putting this mess in the newspaper. I want my $ 40.00 back.
Please whatever you do. Do not buy into this scam. They are a bunch or lyres and all they want is your money.

HBG Publications
Diamond Bar CA 91789
I to suspected a scam so I thought that I would go online to look for this company to see if it was legit. Well I came across this web site. But the good thing about the newspaper that I found the ad in was that it also gave a disclaimer that the state of Maryland has a law that says a company that advertises a work at home opportunity cannot require advance payments or deposits for materials such as instructional booklets, brochures, mailing lists and programs. So we also have a number that we can call to the dept of Consumer Affairs. So for those that got ripped off by this scam, try calling your state's Consumer Affairs dept. and maybe they can give you some pertinent information on what you could possibly do to try to get a refund of your money.
