Work At Home Complaints Companies beginning with the letters H, I & J
COMPANIES LISTED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER
HBG Publications I first heard about this awesome opportunity in the local newspaper, where you think everything is legit. It seemed like the opportunity of a life time $7.00 per stuffed envelope. Possible making $2,800 dollars a week. There letter that they sent in the mail seemed to make perfect sense. So of course I sent in my $40 dollars, for the startup kit. Plus that was going to be refunded anyway with another $50 dollars if I sent in my money within 7 days. I love the way that they use the word "guarantee" throughout the whole letter. I can't believe people can get away with things like this. I sent away for another brochure on the same day I sent away for the first one and its weird the same exact letter was sent under a different company name of course I did not get them on the same day I wish I would have then I would have maybe caught on to this scam before I lost $40 dollars. If anyone finds a real envelope stuffing company where you can make money please let me know I am 8 months pregnant and trying to be a stay at home Mom.

HBG Publications Diamond Bar, Calif. After I sent the $40 in to them It took a week to hear back from them. The ad they put in the newspaper is a false. When I receive there information it was totally different the job listed.
They also state that you don't get a refund not unless you at least try what say. But you will have to spend out more money.
HBG Publications Diamond Bar, California 91789
I swear I thought it was a solid way to make money, but thank god I decided to look it up before I sent in my money order. I feel stupid for believing in the ad. My boyfriend had told me it was a scam but I didn't believe him but thank you for stating what they did to you it helped me not become another victim.
HBG Publications Diamond Bar, California 91789
I was also trying to make some extra cahs for christmas & to catch up with my bills but thanks to all of you who place these complaint ads now i'm not going to be fool by those scammers.

When you do have a job and don't recognize Who gave you that job, rob and steal just like these people do. If you don't pay your tithes then you'll never keep money. I know I'm a living witness. I saw the ad in the paper saying I can basically make 12k in a month, so being from buffalo, NY I thought I'm about to make jay-z money but after doing some research I saw if I sent my $40 I would be making boo-woo the fool money so I still have my 40 bucks...thank God for common sense.

HBG Publications
HBG Publications is not a scam but a trick. They tell you, that they will pay you seven dollars for every envelope you secure and stuff! They didn't lie, but they tell you that "secure" can also mean that you have to get the envelopes yourself - from your own customers.

HGB PUBLICATIONS
DIAMOND BAR, CALIFORNIA 91789
I saw an ad in the paper that I thought would be perfect for me to make some money to help out my family, I was the soul provider of my household until I got hurt at work and now have to have the surgery, and have been told I will be out of work for 5 months. That will hurt financially. So I sent off for a home employment job, just to make ends meet, well I told a few friends who told me to check into it first on the Internet and with the BBB. I'm so lucky to have smart thinking friends. My advice whatever you want to get into that is new, PLEASE!!!! Check it out first, listen to your friends and act on it, because most of us who are interested in these businesses are desperate to keep paying our bill on time, and these SCAM ARTIST are very aware of this. Always be cautious!!!

HBG Publications Diamond Bar, Calif. 91789
To anyone wanting quick cash, don't trust HBG. I sent 40 dollars and never got a response. Someone please report HBG Publications to Better Business Bureau. Lisa Fisher was the contact name in letter.
HBG publications DON'T SEND THEM MONEY...THEY ARE A FRAUD..I send them $40 and I never heard from them again..what should u recommend me doing?
HBG PUBLICATIONS
They put an ad in the newspaper saying that they would give us $7.00 for every envelope that we stuff. We had to pay them $40 before we got anything and that we would get $700 for stuffing 100 envelopes.
HBG Publications Diamond Bar California
I should have listened to my sister when I told her about this work at home opportunity when she said to check into this scam. How stupid am I to believe there are trustworthy mail businesses out there. How can I get my $40.00 back?
HBG PUBLICATIONS Diamond Bar, CA
Their simple, pleasant work you can do at home, is no work at all! Send then their requested $40 and never hear or recieve anything from them again.
They say you will recieve 'gauranteed' the $40 you sent in plus a $700 check with your first 100 envelopes they mail to you.
Be aware: If they don't have a customer service number or any phone number at all for that matter don't deal with them.
HBG Publications
We sent in our $40.00 for our start up kit also and haven't heard from these people since. Should I put a tracer on my money order?
HBG Publications Yes, I agree this is a scam because I did the same thing too and never heard from them again. The opportunity seems sooo real, but when you really think about it, you cant help but to wonder why more people aren't employed at home if this is such an easy way to get money.
HBG Publications
My sister was a dummy who sent of $40 of money she did not really have. Boy did she feel stupid. Why did she feel stupid, because she waited until after she sent the money off to research the company? Luckily she informed the Post Office to stop the money order from being delivered. Learn from her mistake.

HBG Publications I found out it was a scam for this website and decided to do a little research on them for myself. I found out that HBG Publications doesn't exist in Diamond Bar, CA. It doesn't exist any where in southern call. Not even the zip code matches. The one they gave me was 91789 and that was to a city called Walnut. So I called 411 and asked for their # and they gave me (909) 869-0563. No one answers, all I hear is beeping noises. So I called the number that was written in the newspaper and left a message saying that if they didn't send me my money back then I would report this to the police and have them handle it either that or I'll go to the district attorney's office and see if they can give me some advice on what to do about this. I should have known it was a scam and did some research on it before I sent my money in. Now I feel totally stupid about not doing something so simple like that.

HBG Publications
Its total rip off!!!! There has to be some kind of legal action we can take against these thieves.
HBG Publications
I'm glad I looked them up before I sent my $40. I don't like being scammed and this way.

HBG Publications
I thank you all for having posted information about these immoral thieves. If it wasn't for this website and these complaints, I would be $40 in the hole.
.
HBG publications California 91789 This company is an envelope stuffing business. They said I could make over $1750 weekly guaranteed in writing, if I stuffed envelopes. I was asked me to send in $40 so i did for the registration in their home mailer program, well they lied and sent me the home business guide, didn't even order that. they said also that my $40 was refundable, but when i tried contacting them i could get no response. so not only did they rip me off but they will not even get in touch with me. i sent a letter to them, still no response. they said in that home business guide that if i sent the guide back to them they would give $30 back ... so i sent it, a week ago still nothing. They are ignoring me completely, and I have no employment. This is a scam.

HBG Publications
They sold me false advertisement .I am not happy with this made up HBG Public. Houston St. #1902.Public, This is a scam.
HBG Publications SCAM!!! If it sounds to good to be true ... it is too good to be true! $40 down the drain... Anyone know how I can get my money back?
***They also sold my address and contact info to other scammers!!!
HBG Publications
My husband also was attracted by the newspaper add! We decided to call and when we got the letter we where like no this has to be a scam! I am so glad that I decided to wait and research this company before I sent any money! I am gald people are posting messages so that others are not caught by these people!
HBG Publications Total scam. Said we would be stuffing envelopes and that was it. What they meant was finding them others to scam and then we would be paid for those we scammed to sign up. No thank you.

HGB Publication Envelope Stuffer Scam
I found the ad in the newspaper here in Columbus, Ohio, called up for the info and they sent it, after a family member pointed the ad out to me. I assumed it was a scam in the first place. Why? There is NO SUCH THING as an "envelope stuffer." All envelope stuffing work is done COMPLETELY mechanically.
It is quite ridiculous these people get away with this crap. I have heard this scam has been around for quite some time - possibly surfacing around the time of the great depression. Whatever happened to laws against false advertisement? It does make you wonder how much money they actually take from people; they must be making something if they keep writing those ads. I just don't quite understand why these people aren't taken down. Anyway's, don't fall for this scam and feed the scammers any more cash than they all ready have taken. There is no such company that exists solely to mail things out. No such company exists that uses random people to mail things out for them. As I said before, any company that uses mass mailing systems use a strictly mechanical procedure to do so, via equipment. If not, then the post office will performs that service for well under even $0.25 per envelope. Also, 9.99/10 employment opportunities that require someone to send some kind of start-up/registration/security deposit are not legitimate. The best piece of advice I've heard regarding scams is (you guessed it): if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. You can remove the word "probably" from the above statement once you !VERIFY! the company/person(S) you're doing any kind of business with, employment or otherwise.

Highestpaysurveys A Division of M.P.C. Read more on this company
highestpaysurveys.com is a scam. I paid $39.99 for this program and never have heard from them since that was 4 months ago. It's a scam so please don't be the fool I was they live off fools like me. Please share this information with your patrons to avoid any further scam. Thank you.
Home Based Typist/ Work at Home Typist...e.t.c.
This is a scam. There is no particular company for this one. Some people make up a name of a company, so it sounds more sophisticated. Stay away from this one! They ask you for a one-time fee for 'training materials', and those basically explain how you type up ads that offer the same 'job' you're doing now, and you ask them to send you a one-time fee for the same 'training materials', so that they can in turn be scamming somebody else the same way. There's nothing productive about this job. And unless you love fooling people with a scam, it's not for you.

HUD Tracer Program/JWN Financial
I signed up for what appears to be a scam by JMW Financial Services. Since it had the seal of the Fair Business Association and they said they were affiliated with HUD (and sent me to a site to prove this) I thought this was a legitimate company.
The reason i am emailing so many groups (HUD, advocacy groups, Gov agonies) is that, first, it is unclear as to if this is even legal? I cannot believe that HUD would back such a SCAM? Is there no government oversight to regulate this?
In addition, the company says they are in good standing with several agencies.....
Fair Business Association of America - (BBB complaint) National Association of Independent Paralegal - (FTC complaint) Para-Link International (FTC complaint) US Mortgage Lenders, Inc. Wes-State Mortgage, Inc. - (complaint scam) ACFA (American Cash Flow Association) - (complaint scam) Academy of Legal Investigations
It uses the FBAA site to make it look authentic.
http://fbaa.us/companies/jmwfinancialservices.htm
I contacted the FBAA, who said they would help me get the refund. (i was still turned down)
In my opinion, the FBAA should be investigated and shut down. I list these (details) further down on the page, and go through them one by one. Some have either had problems with the BBB, or FTC. JMW claimed that I would be working for HUD and receiving checks from the government.
Then I read this....
HUD will only pay a refund to the legal recipient -- not to the tracer. This means tracers must attempt to collect their "fees" AFTER the recipient has received the money from HUD.
http://usgovinfo.about.com/library/weekly/aa040101a.htm
I was told when I signed up there was a money back guarantee, if I did not like it for any reason. The website does not provide conditions to the refund....
http://www.jmwfinancial.com/index.asp
I did not receive 30 returned letters. I am not in control of who throws the letter in the trash, instead of properly returning it to me. I was asked to wait 90 days for the refund (which i did). In response, they told me I did not send in 30 returned letters and I would NOT be granted a refund. (Original email at bottom)
When I first joined....
They had told me that there were no more openings for New Orleans, then 1/2 second later, said OH yes we do have one, you are lucky? Well after receiving the CD ($98) i found out that it is not a regional software, and anyone can access the database for the Whole USA. Then found out I had to supply stamps and letters costing me close to $100.
I had responded to an add in the gambit newspaper in New Orleans. read...
$250 to $500 a week
Will train you to work at home helping the US government file HUD/FHA mortgage refunds. No exp. needed. Call 1-866-537-2907 (no longer works)
THE BBB doesn't seem to think they are legit...
JMW Financial Services contacted a local consumer with an offer to make money by locating former HUD/FHA homeowners who may have funds due them from government backed mortgages that they have paid off. The company is selling information which is available free through any state & # 65533;s unclaimed funds office. The BBB suggests using extreme caution when responding to any such offer. While the offer may claim high earnings and short hours with little or no experience, Bureau files nationwide indicated no evidence of anyone making the promised money. This company has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB.

John Chin, a refund administrator for HUD, said the number of successful tracings by people like Morgan, who enrolled in the program but was unable to locate many of the people on the list she was given, have declined by more than 80 percent.
"They're not going to find many homeowners who are owed refunds," Chin said. "They're probably not going to find anybody because the list is picked over."
HUD officials say if the agency owes someone a refund and can't find the person, their own set of federally sanctioned tracers will eventually do the job for free.
Brian Noyes is a regional director for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the federal agency that tracers hired by JMW are supposed to be assisting. Noyes suspects few tracers succeed, and he's not sure officials at JMW care. "Their genuine interest is how many people will buy this $98 package that they're trying to sell," he said. The company offers a 90-day money-back guarantee to dissatisfied customers. Wright said 25 percent of those who enroll in the plan and then decide to request a refund receive it. Officials at the Better Business Bureau said they have compiled a lengthy file of complaints about JMW. "They have an unsatisfactory record due to a pattern of complaints," said Carrie Morgan, a bureau vice president. "Virtually no people get the money that they're promised in this type of scheme."

I sent back the CD_ROM which cost me $98.00 with a note, my name and phone number and request for a refund. I have not heard back from them. I have trouble understanding how the FBAA and HUD/FHA can back such a track record?

Illegally transfers money from one account to another. You can get in big trouble.
International Reselling Company
This is just like the other complaints I've seen on this website. You are to receive transfers to your paypal account and the send it Western Union to the Ukraine. Of course, I received the money and transferred to my bank account and thank goodness paypal sent me a buyer dispute from the person they stole the money from. I would have been responsible for the $1628.60 they sent back to the person they stole it from. They threatened to close my paypal account if I did not wire the money to the Ukraine, because I started sending them e-mails about the dispute from paypal. Thank goodness for paypal and the buyer dispute. support@ir-company.com

JMW Financial Service
JMW Financial Service claims that you can make $250 -- $500 weekly processing HUD/FHA refunds from home. And they give you a 90 day money back deal.
What a lie! First it costs $98 to get this program disk. Then you have to find these people that they don't even give a list of but redirect you to HUD's web site. then there's the money for paper, envelopes and stamps. I did this mailing out 30 letters per week for 2 months and got nothing back. Later I found out that though being a tracer isn't illegal anyone that is due the refunds can file for them for free though HUD. When I tried to get a refund on the $98 at least they told me to that I couldn't get it until I had proof that I mailed all these letters for the full 90 days and sent them at least 20 returned letters. A friend of mine was trying to do this at the same time and she got the same thing. So I checked with the BBB and even they say DON'T DO IT!!!

JMW Financial Services Mesa, Az. 85202
I ordered the software from this company and started the work and did not get a single response, only returned envelopes. I mailed all of my software back along with the 30 returned envelopes, like they ask for, and I am still fighting to get my money back. If anyone out there knows a phone number to talk to a live person from this company, please write cckelly52002@yahoo.com. This company needs to be shut down!

JMW Financial Services Mesa AZ
A friend paid $100.00, got a training pkg, and mailing list. Never heard from JMW; never got any money; never rec'd any calls\letters back from those on mailing list. God thru me,pres. and owner of Xaiber Ministries, Inc.,told me to tell her it was a scam. I then proved it to her by going to google and typing in the following: www.training@jmwfinancial.com.
It brought up badreport-badbusiness.com which warns everyone not to pay JMW\work for them. Please take time to report them to any\all gov. agencies incl. HUD and contact your senators & congressman to take action asap to get rid of JMW ---- the FBI should be involved and press charges as the scam is way over the FBI's rule that it has to be more than $100,000.00 as I have been told. Jesus loves us and knows so many want to earn an income or extra money. He hates deceit and "false" companies. More He abhors liars and those "ripping off" His people for whom He gave His life. Before you pay money for a job (they're supposed to pay you!) - ask Him - He will tell you which are legit and which are not.
