Work At Home Complaints Company's beginning with the letters L & M COMPANIES LISTED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER
Lambdashopping.com Los Angeles, California
I bought some stuff from this US based internet shop on the the 1st of January, I should have recieved the goods by mid-January and I did not so I emailed to query my order. I got a reply first time saying that they will look into it, I waited for 2 weeks before contacting them again but never got a reply! I sent sevral emails and faxes but to no avail, I eventually resorted to calling them and spoke to 2 costumer service agents who were very unhelpful and had no idea how to follow up a query. So I emaild the Founder and the Costumer Service manager but they were as bad as their employees! Basically I never got a reply from my correspondence, but did eevntually got hold of Dennis Haupt who was the costumer services manager, I was told ( to my horror! ) that the reason they did not reply was because I sent them too much correspondence and it was considered "HARRRASMENT"! This company may well be a scam, I don't know. I spoke to diferrent people from this company and their stories just don't add up! and since when querying your order a harrasment? If they bothered communicating did they think I'll carry on sending them emails and faxes? I warn people who intend to shop from this company! If you want to part with your money, make sure you know where your using it.
To date, I still haven't recieved the goods and still no correspondence from them despite several requests!

Legal Meds On Line This site talks about a membership to order meds online. However, it is not clear until you give the information ie., bank or credit card, that you only have access to companies on line who will fill and possibly send your meds. It is impossible to contact them once you have committed to their membership. I went into these sites and None of them carried the drug for which I thought I would get. The legalmedsonline advertise that you can get Acomplia on line. None of those sites carried it. The scam is to scam you into the membership and no more. Their claim is that you can cancel membership at any time. HA! Please investigate this company. Their are others who have exp. the same thing. One person changed her credit card number to stop the recurring charges. You can see those messages through a Google search for www.legalmedsonline.com

Legitjobs http://www.legitjobs.net/
This company advertises jobs, that you can only access by paying their site to view the jobs at a rate of $12.00 the first day, $12.00 the second day and $12.00 every 30 days thereafter. I don't mind subscribing however, they get paid $24.00 through PayPal without ever being able to access the jobs they advertise. I think this is a total scam as I have not been able to access a single advertised job.

Littlewoods home shopping
I received a letter stating that I had won an award of 15-1500 pounds to spend on Littlewoods goods, but that I could only claim it if I sent in the reply slip with my personal details on it within 14 days of the letter. I received the letter 15 days after the date on the top. I also read the data protection information with informed me that they could give my details and details of those people financially linked to me to pretty much anyone they choose. I notice that they also reserved the right to refuse any application or change the offer. I think this was just a ploy to get people's personal details out to a lot of companies that would have use for them.

This is most likely a scam. While researching this company I found that the owner, Nicholas Shim, is also CO-Owner with his brother Michael Shim, of another company called United Sales & Book Publishing. If you look up this company in the Better Business Bureau data base you will find that there have been numerous complaints. It seems that Mr. Shim and his brother have a habit of not sending out the requested materials after they have received their start up fee. It appears that only those individuals who were knowledgeable in the fine art of refund retrieval were able to get their money back. It has been suggested that if you have been scammed by this individual, you should let them know that you will be sending a copy of your request for refund to the IRS Income Tax Fraud Dept. for Dade County.

Boy,am I glad that I didn't do this. I got the pay 39.00 refundable dollars to staple booklets from home. They even have a check box as to whether or not you need a stapler. They send you your kit along with a manual that states to mail them out as they need them. How could a manual know that.
I am so glad that I didn't give them my 39.00.
Mailing Processing Systems Inc. Miami, FL 33164-9998 I ordered their startup package in June 2005. I mailed out the 290 letters and didn't receive a thing. It is almost the end of August now. I send them a letter, I wonder if I will get a response.
I wish I could get a phone number to contact them. It's pretty hard to come by. If anyone reading this has any info can you please post it on this web site for me? It would be well appreciated.

Mailing Processing Systems, Inc. I received a letter today form Mailing Processing Systems, Inc. P.O.Box 64041. Miami, FL 33164-9998 with an offer that was too good to be true enclosed was a mailing special Letters Application Form with one time application fees ranging from $49.00/$69.00/$99.00 and $139.00 and of course the more you pay for the group plan the more money you are supposed to make per week. I decided to do some research on the Internet and really not to my surprise just as I suspected from the testimonies I read it is a scam. It is definitely true that when something sounds to good to be true it probably is.

Paid the $39 and received nothing! See other complaints.
These people own the home at 115 Marion Road in Hollywood, Florida, a 1586 sq. ft home built in 1956. Michael and Kathleen Shim bought the property in 2002 for $125,500. It's 2bd and bath and they owe about $100k on it. They own two other properties in Broward County as well. A 3290 sq ft home at 19410 NW 4th Ct in Pembroke Pines, Florida (which looks like they own free and clear) and another small house at 110 Williams in Hollywood, Florida.....in case you are looking for your refund. Public records are great!

I was planning to send away for their "starter package" but something sounded fishy. How could they claim to send me $10 for each catalog I mailed "as soon as we receive your catalogs" if they are supplying me with customer mailing labels of individuals to mail the catalogs to!! It just didn't make sense!! So, I looked them up online and found these other complaints and boy am I glad I did. You can't believe everything you read -- there sure are some dishonest "companies" out there!
Mailing Processing Systems, Inc.
I also fell for this scam and sent in my $39.00 start up fee. I did receive my papers to mail out and I did so. This was in march it is now November and I have not heard another word since!! Do not send these people any money it is a scam!!!

After receiving this flyer, looking for people to mail catalogs, I got excited. I'm a single Mom with 2 kids, so a way to make that much money (up to $3,500 a week) AND stay home w/my kids was a dream come true. However, I was puzzled by the statement "When you have completed your batch of catalogs, just mail them out and we'll send your check as soon as we receive your catalogs." If I'm mailing this out to the individuals whom, I'm assuming, requested these catalogs, then how could they know when I've sent them out? And why would they be receiving them? So I tried the phone number listed at the bottom. After getting the mailbox message, I searched for the phone number, trying to find out if there might be another contact number. The phone number is listed under one Jean Bazile, who's address is given as 14899 NE 18th Ave, North Miami, FL 33181. I wonder if this individual knows their phone number is being used for a scam, or if this is simply an alias to lure people into a scam. Who knows? Maybe there's someway to alert the local authorities of what's going on, and fix the problem. I'd hate to think about where I'd be if I'd been stupid enough to do this.

I was stupid enough to send these jokers money $159 to begin their program. I have waited 3 week and received nothing.

This was sent to my 16yr old daughter...the $500.00-2,500 is a joke you will not make a dime from this company.
Please beware of all scams, if you are unable to get your money back you can contact the IRS

I am so glad that I did not go ahead with this. It sounded so good, making money stuffing envelopes at home....but I am glad I checked it out first. One reader requested a number to contact the company and on the sign up application to sign up to Mailing Special Letters the number that they had was 786-274-8797. Hope this helps anyone who has been scammed and are trying to get their money back!
Mailing Processing Systems, Inc. Miami, Fl 33164-9998 I will not try this program now that I have read this web page. It's too bad there aren't any good ways to make money at home.

Fold And Mail Our Catalogs!" "Make $550.00 to $3,500.00 Or More Every Week." The catch? YOU have to send THEM up to $159 to start! Seems similar to another scam listed on here also with a Miami address. I haven't sent them anything or had any further contact with them and don't plan to.
The only place where you can see the company name and address is on the envelope they include for you to put your money in (aside from one listing at the end of a long hype letter). This should tip you off--no letterhead, no company name on the outside of the envelope. How could they be making any money if they have to send stuff to you AND pay you for your work? Why can't they just send the catalogs themselves and cut out the middleman? Because it's probably a SCAM!
Today, 4/08/05, at my home in Pennsylvania, I received an unsolicited letter from above entity, offering mailing letters biz. opportunity in exchange for a "one time fee". I immed. suspected a con & confirmed by feelings when I located it listed already in your database.
Below is addt'l information I located about this 'business' on the web through the State of Florida website.

Mailing Processing Systems, Inc. Miami, FL On 7/18/05, I sent the requested $39 to above mentioned company and was excited about an additional income by work-at home. As of 8/1/05 I have not received the material they were to send to get me going. I may be pre-mature in my suspicion, but think I have been scammed.

I have received a letter from this company and sent $69.00 to start a day before i read these reports, I don't know if ill receive the money :(
Mailing Processing Systems Miami, FL 33164-9998 I sent in the $39 fee plus the 3 extra dollars to have materials shipped within 7 days. It has been 2 weeks now and nothing. I found them on the better business bureau and they have an unsatisfactory report. I called the number that I found on the BBB website and it only goes to something called the message center. Not able to get through to anyone. I think I am going to be contacting the IRS on this one.

I wanted to get some information from this company about where do we get addresses from for the mailers, and to ask questions about how things worked, so I called the phone number listed on the letter, to no avail, the number said I needed a mailbox number, if no mailbox number to redial, what a joke still no response. Glad that I tried to call and get some information first. Pretty sure that this is a Scam.

Malibu Trust Company Santa Rosa, California
I applied for a personal loan of $10,000 online but not directly with them. But, they called me back and said I was pre-approved but my credit was bad the lender had 2 options for me so I could either have a cosigner that makes over $65,000 a year or get the insurance they are offering because they didn't want to take a risk with me. So I paid for the insurance $1358.17 for basic coverage. Then couple days later a manager called me she said they couldn't verify my home number {They said it was disconnected as well as my work number, for that they ran my credit again and seen I had some delinquent items. {Which I verified that I Don't} So they told me they won't give me the loan because my credit was worst then the first time they checked so they required me to pay another $1142.00 for the insurance? Then they said the cash will be direct deposited into my account that day. Well, it wasn't. Then another manager called and told me for the some reason the lender backed out of the contract... And they told me they are taking legal action against them The Company that backed out their name is supposedly named Brock and Thorn. But they said they had another lender for me. But I would have to pay another $780.00 because the lenders insurance amount was a little higher and they were a better company. So I paid it. They said the lender will deposit the funds in 24 hours. That was 12/09/04 @ 1350pm now it's 12/10/04 1806pm..And now I can't get a hold on anyone... Also I had to pay for the 3 individual money grams one was $94.00, $84.00, and $63.00.. Watch out for these guys. I'm trying to still get my deposits back, because they said its 100% refundable.

Market Factor
This is a scam. When I asked for my refund, no response from them.

Mini's Guest List Mini's Guest List - The A-list Spam Scam
A Private Social Club in London was approached by a Mr.Minesh Vohra of Mini’s Guest List (www.minisguestlist.com) who claimed to be able to provide "A-list" guests for a party in March 2005, as he purported to have a contact subscriber “A-list” of over 11,680 active "jet-set" party and night club consumers. The price for a mail shot was negotiated down from 50p an Email address to 10p, in exchange for extensive Internet advertising, and 12 complementary guests at the next Party Club event. The mail shot was allegedly sent and fewer than 20 responses were obtained that were attributable to Mini’s Guest List, of these fewer than five booked and no paying guests attended from his guest list. Mr.Vohra attended the party, which was well received, appeared impressed with the product and was interested in further involvement. Mr.Vohra signed a written agreement to sell tickets printed via his contact which were commissioned via original art work produced by the Private Social Club and sent to Mr.Davis four weeks in advance of the next Party in April. In essence the tickets were to be sold at £50 commission from each £150 ticket circulated to his guest list. Despite the months advanced agreement, a mailing list was not apparently notified until the week before the Party (Saturday 16th April), the cards for sale never materialized in presentable form, contracted meetings did not take place, limousines arrived to pick up guests at prescheduled and pre-advertised locations which were not there, celebrity models promised in writing by Mr.Vohra did not materialize, a written commitment to supply party hostesses was unsatisfied, Mr.Voresh disappeared unexpectedly to India two weeks before the party, and his model associate and Vice-president of Mini's Guest List took over for the final two weeks. The Vice-president was incommunicado from 6pm on the Monday preceding the party to Wednesday at 6pm as she was at the “Silverstone” racing circuit until her day off, the contracted meeting on Friday did not materialize, and no guests or representatives from Mini’s Guest List materialized in any shape or form, nor indeed did any individual discussed with agents or representatives of Minis Guest List. The Party lost some £4,000 in labour, overheads and costs, and the Vice-President was unrepetent, scoffing and dismissive, and no explanation or apology has been received. At the party in March Mr.Voresh, popularly known as "Mini" scoured the party for E-mail addresses from almost all who were attendant, regardless of their means or social status.

Money-for-surveys.com
I thought it is a reliable company since there is a 100% money back guarantee stated in the website. So, I decided to give it a try to get paid surveys from this company. When I made payment and was brought to download the list of companys that was "supposed to pay" for surveys, I realized that several of the companies do not have paid surveys and I have to register with them and wait for these companies to contact me if there are surveys matching to my profile. To top it up, these companies do not guarantee that their surveys are paid surveys but you will be rewarded with points, entered into sweepstakes or given gifts. I was expecting to get paid surveys immediately as stated in the money-for-surveys.com but disappointed that the companies listed are actually as good as those surveying companies that don't charge. You will only be contacted when there is a survey matching your profile and there is not guaranteed that you get paid cash. Immediately, I requested for my money back for several times but I received no reply from money-for-surveys.com at all. My requests for refund were ignored and I never hear a word from them at all! This company still exists.

Money-for-surveys.com
This company has a 100% money back guarantee but when I requested for my money back many times, the company refused to reply. They do not honour their 100% money back guarantee. The list of so called paid companies compiled by this company are companies that do not necessarily pay cash for their surveys. Some of these companies can be subscribed for free without us to pay for these "paid surveys companies" and so money-for-surveys.com is a fraud! Do not get fooled by their 100% money back guarantee!
Monopoliser.com
Total scam, Fell for it myself believed it could be true as you paid them money every month on your profits
